ESTIMATING/ PRE-CONSTRUCTION PLANNING

PERMITTING/ ZONING ASSISTANCE
The municipal building permitting and zoning approval process can be difficult to successfully navigate. Our professional work with your firms in house team and the project design professionals to help expedite and ensure your project makes it through these processes successfully. We often serve as the guide through this phase of the project for clients with little or no permitting or zoning experience.
CONSTRUCTION/ GENERAL CONTRACTING
DCM’s professionals manage the bidding, subcontracting, construction, and closeout/turnover of the completed project. RISK MANAGEMENT/ LOSS PREVENTION
Project cost control is essential to bringing a project in on or below budget. Thorough review of the proposed contract/ construction documentation from a risk management and loss prevention perspective by our professionals will help ensure scope is clearly defined. This will reduce the number of costly interruptions including Requests For Information (RFI’s), Bulletins, and Change Order Requests (COR’s) during the course of construction.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT/ SITE SUPERVISION
Project Management and Site Supervision are offered to provide our clients with experienced construction management personnel. These personnel are assigned to key tasks including schedule and cost management, field quality control, review of change order requests, and change impact analysis and management.
OWNER ADVOCACY/ REPRESENTATION
Many organization rely on third party representation to advocate for their interests on all levels of the project and guide them through to a successful project turnover. Many Owners’ have limited in-house resources allocated to specific construction management efforts. Our services are flexible to meet individual Owner’s needs. Some Owners’ wish to avoid the risk associated with the conflict of interest that arises when the design team is charged with managing themselves and also designated the lead party to represent the Owner’s interests during the course of the project. We can work with your team to ensure proper oversight and to make economical construction recommendations to the design team to help reduce project costs while maintaining end user functionality and appeal. Project success is often measured by metrics including:
